Founded in 1888, Logan Street is a large urban elementary school located in Echo Park. The student body consists of many recent immigrants, who qualify as English language learners, as well as many students who represent the second or third generation in their family to attend Logan. In 2009, Logan had a total of 550 students -- 90 percent of whom were of Hispanic background. The school has 39 certificated teachers. Diane Ramos Ramirez is the principal.
