We're a community-based nonprofit organization whose efforts are rooted in traditional Jewish values -- and many of our programs help the needy regardless of background. Chabad has for many years, in the United States and throughout the world, actively promoted a greater awareness of the concepts of education, morality and decency amongst all people. The local center was established in 2007 to provide many diverse educational and social programs and has been successfully impacting our community in many positive ways. The Chabad Jewish Community Center of Folsom is a local, independent and financially self-supporting entity. Every dollar that we receive comes from the generosity of people like you. We are a 501(c)(3) organization (Tax ID# 26-0588970) and your donations are fully tax deductible.SpecialtiesEducation We specialize in providing high level Jewish education for adults and children. The Sierra Jewish Academy, our adult education division, provides high level courses and informative series on Jewish and contemporary ideas. The Chabad Hebrew School, our youth education division, is an exciting and innovative Jewish educational program. Our School enjoys a well-earned reputation as a trend setter in creative Jewish education for children in Grades pre-K through 7. Chabad Hebrew School has exciting new programs, a dynamic staff and interested students. Our student body is made up of children from various backgrounds and affiliations. Jewish Holidays We specialize in providing enjoyable events and services in connection with Jewish holidays. Our Community Passover Seder has gained a well earned reputation as the most enjoyable (and delicious) Seder around! Membership Synagogue membership is never required to participate in any of our programs!
