Lincoln Elementary School opened its doors in 1878. It serves more than 550 students in kindergarten through grade six. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as math, social studies, science, language arts and physical education. The school conducts special day classes and offers gifted and talented education and Title I programs. It also provides special education, after-school care and English language development programs. Lincoln Elementary School involves students in a variety of extracurricular activities, including safety patrol, band, chorus, strings, student council and yearbook. It has a parent-teacher association that conducts various fundraising events, such as family math and science nights, movie nights, spring festivals, back-to-school night barbecues, fall festivals and Halloween parades. In addition, the school provides academic counseling and classroom guidance to students. Lincoln Elementary School is located in Stockton, Calif., and is a part of the Lincoln Unified School District.
