History
In February of 2000, after years of working out of several different facilities in the Morgan Hill/Gilroy region, Susan Crenshaw and her husband, Joseph Heinrich, were presented with the opportunity to buy 10 mostly undeveloped acres in Morgan Hill. With the help of a marvelous facility planner, Linda Royer, Susan and Joe started the process of creating, planning, and building Ligara Farms. Many wonderful peoples' participation throughout 2001 made it possible on December 21st of that year to move horses into the then fledgling project. Over the past decade Ligara has expanded, and now houses 30 horses and has a separate hay barn, horse exerciser, perimeter trail, hot wash rack and 12 turnout paddocks!
