Sewer System Management Plan The District has established an excellent record of environmental compliance since its formation in 1959. It has built, operated, maintained, and managed sewer infrastructure for fifty years and compiled a reputation for not only preventing sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs) but minimizing their volume with timely response by on-call staff who are properly trained and equipped for these events. A part of the District's regulatory requirements is to development a Sewer System Management Plan, or SSMP, to facilitate the proper funding and management of sanitary sewer systems. Further information about the regulatory requirement can be found here. The following page highlights the District's progress in completing the elements of the SSMP and provides key dates relative to each element. The table will be updated as the elements are completed. If you have questions regarding those elements that are currently in progress or would like to make comments please feel free to email the District. Additionally, updates will be given at the monthly District Board meetings, which are open to the public (click here to view Board meetings agendas and minutes).
