Long ago in a land far away, a young mother, Aida, & her sister, Noha, opened up a little hole in the wall restaurant made up of four tables & a tiny home-like kitchen on Pierre El Jmaiel street in the capital city of Beirut, Lebanon. They were young & beautiful, & they made delicious traditional Lebanese food. The restaurant was an overnight success. Aida's daughter, Joyce, joined the duo helping them after school & on the weekends as the waitress delivering food to neighboring businesses and residents on a Soder (a large, hand-carved brass tray used to carry food). As life happened, the restaurant was eventually sold. Noha moved to Iraq with her new husband. Joyce got married to an airline pilot, Majed Aboulhosn, & had a daughter named Jinan, plus four other children to boot. Aida moved to America to be with her sons after her husband passed.
