Located in San Jos , Calif., Leland High School is a part of San Jos Unified School District. Founded in 1967, it is a public, four-year magnet school that enrolls more than 1,800 students. The high school offers a variety of academic programs, such as English, French, Spanish, statistics, calculus, music theory, art studio and journalism. Its academic programs also include chemistry, biology, social studies, physical education, and visual, applied and performing arts. The high school offers a variety of athletic activities, such as field hockey, football, volleyball, water polo, tennis, basketball, wrestling, soccer, baseball, badminton and golf. It has various clubs and organizations, including key, concert, golf, fashion and design, film society, animation, robotics, living history and chess. Leland High School is approved by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
