History
Pandeli Lazaridi, founder / director of the San Diego Small Opera & Lazarideus Voice Academy, was born in Greece in 1948. He began his musical education at the early age of nine, taking accordion & guitar lessons. Two years later, he auditioned for the National Conservatory of Athens, Greece, where he was immediately ofered scholarships in piano & music theory education. At age of thirteen, he finished harmony & sight-reading. Three years later, he received an additional scholarship in singing. After traveling extensively & performing world wide, Pandeli relocated to San Diego to begin work with classical & popular vocalists (experienced & novice.) His goal remains to teach people interested in singing, speaking or acting how simple it is to learn about the production of sound. He introduces students to vocal skills via his own unique methods & techniques. His method has proven to be very successful, giving pros & shower singers vocal control, pitch correction, quality tone & more.
