Lakeland Village Middle School is the newest secondary school to be opened in the Lake Elsinore Unified School District. When it opened in August of 2006, it served about 800 students who had formerly been housed in three other middle schools within the district. The school is a K-8 public institution that had a student population of 785 during the 2008-09 school year. The student population is diverse. About 61 percent of students are Hispanic or Latino; 29 percent are white; 4 percent are African-American. The average class size at Lakeland Vilage is 30 students. There are 54 teachers at the school.
