Opened nearly 30 years ago, Lafayette Health Club prides itself on offering personalized service and a wide range of health and fitness opportunities. Several classes are held each day, about eight on average, including yoga, pilates, spin, strength training, and more. There are approximately 15 people per class. Personal trainers and pilates equipment sessions are also available. Additionally, the Lafayette Health Club is a host site for local, in season, and organic produce and eggs from EatWell Farm and hormone/antibiotic, free range, grass fed Marin Sun Farms meat. Membership is not required to participate.
Most of the clientele are from Lafayette, with the remainder from Lamorinda; the average age is 40 and above. Members are eligible to receive discounts at local fitness centers, like the Moraga Pool. Debbie Swigert, the owner of the health club, is very involved in the community and is at the Club most days of the week.
