History
The City of La Mesa has operated the La Mesa Farmers Market in La Mesa's Downtown Village area for nearly 25 years, making the market one of the longest-running & most successful farmers' markets in the region. From its very first day of operation in August 1993, the market has provided fresh, healthy produce and unique food items to local residents and visitors from throughout San Diego County, every Friday, rain or shine. In May 2018, the local merchants in the Downtown Village, known as the La Mesa Village Association, took over the reins of the market and became its new sponsor. They hired Brian Beevers of Brian's Farmers Markets to serve as their manager. They carry on the tradition started by the City in 1993 but they've made it bigger and better and brought it into the heart of the Downtown Village for you to enjoy!
