For over 20 years, a local hangout to many veterans is the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1508 facility. Rich with historical value, this location honors its members by displaying medals, pictures of current and past members, murals and memorabilia of wartime. There are three large comfortable areas for members' gatherings: a multipurpose hallway, the bar and pool area, and an outside eating area. The association regularly serves breakfast, lunch and dinner to its members. Being connected to the community, this group participates in several events throughout the year, and there a meeting held at this location nearly every month. A common event held at the facility is Monday Night Football. This is a members only facility. The members welcome all veterans, their friends and their family to the gatherings.
