Kinship Center, established in 1984, is an adoption and foster care agency that offers support services to children and families throughout the United States. The center provides a variety of services, such as infant adaptations, family and foster care, educational programs, counseling and adoption clinical training. It also offers legal assistance, recreational activities, and food and clothing for the children. The additional services offered by the center include pre- and post-placement assistance, international adoption home studies and county adoption conversion services. It organizes workshops and support groups for anger management, family conflict, depression and grief, and family therapeutic programs. The center also operates child development and mental health clinics that provide medical assistance and health care services. Kinship Center is accredited by California Alliance of Child and Family Services, and is located in Salinas, Calif.
