Zen Organic used to be named Progressive Hair Salon but recently changed its name to reflect its environmentally-friendly influences. The salon itself has been around for 25 years. You can still find Ray, the owner, in the back of the shop cutting his clients hair. The salon is easily accessible, on the corner of Fairmount and Kearny. The salon offers a variety of services from manicures to hair color to waxing and makeup. There are three pedicure stations inside this clean salon. The walls are painted in subtle pink and brown hues. There are two hair stylists, three manicurists and one makeup artist available for services. Ray has had many of the same clients for years.
