Kate Blatchford founded this rug wash and repair facility in 1990, but prior to that our family had an antique rug gallery for several decades in Birdrock, La Jolla (Rugs & Arts of Persia) from 1974-1990.
Specialties
(By appointment only - please message for details.) We specialize in the wash and repair of antique and contemporary handwoven oriental and Persian rugs. We also handle tapestries, needlepoint, and American Indian weavings. Though our expertise is in hand woven natural fiber (wool, silk, cotton) rugs, we also can clean synthetic area rugs when they truly need a thorough cleaning.
