Junipero Serra County Park, located off of Crystal Springs Road, is part of the San Mateo County Parks Department and features three group picnic areas, two picnic shelters, two playgrounds, six hiking trails and the El Zanjon Creek. Trees found in the park include oaks, willows, laurels, eucalyptus, pines and cypress. Wildlife include scrub jays, towhees, banana slugs, raccoons, red-tailed hawks and turkey vultures. A variety of spring wildflowers can be found throughout the park. Be advised that poison oak also grows in the park. A small visitor center is located at the ranger's office.
