Forensic accounting is the specialty practice area of accounting that describes engagements that result from actual or anticipated disputes or litigation. "Forensic" means "suitable for use in a court of law."As a forensic accountant I have worked in such areas as divorce, business disputes, embezzlement, bank fraud, economic damages, probate, fraud and much more. I have also served as a forensic accountant for both plaintiffs and defendants.
