IwamotoScott Architecture was founded by Lisa Iwamoto and Craig Scott initially in Berkeley until relocating to San Francisco in 2005.

IwamotoScott Architecture is an award winning and internationally recognized San Francisco baswed architecture and design practice led by Lisa Iwamoto and Craig Scott. We create innovative designs at all scales - with work ranging from art installations to interiors to houses to commercial buildings to visionary cities. We rethink the constraints of the everyday to create unique architectural syntheses of program, site and material. We make spaces that are functional, distinctive and beautiful. IwamotoScott's design work is widely recognized, with over 75 design awards and honors, including 19 AIA Design Awards at the local and national level, Architectural Record's Design Vanguard, The Architectural League's prestigious Emerging Voices, Curbed Groundbreakers award, Progressive Architecture Award, and numerous other architecture and interior awards. The work has been published in hundreds of journals, and exhibited in over fifty museums and galleries, including MoMA, The Guggenheim, SFMOMA, Vitra Design Museum, and Artists Space. Iwamoto and Scott have lectured on the work of the firm at numerous professional, academic, and arts institutions worldwide. Iwamoto and Scott are Professors of architecture at UC Berkeley and California College of the Arts, respectively. The partners have taught previously at University of Michigan, Harvard University, SCI-Arc, Cornell University, Syracuse University, Sydney University and Yale University.
