Founded in 1968 to build semiconductor memory products, it introduced the world's first microprocessor in 1971. The company is one of the world's largest chipmakers and a leading manufacturer of computer, networking and communications products. Its products include processors, chipsets, motherboards, desktops, laptops, servers and workstations, embedded and flash memory and software. Paul S. Otellini has been the chief executive officer of Intel for more than one year. He has been with the semiconductor and software company for over 32 years. Otellini earned a BBA from the University of San Francisco, and a MBA from the University of California-Berkeley. Intel Corporation has its headquarters in Santa Clara, Calif., and offices throughout the United States and worldwide.
