Founded in 1980, Independent Peer Socialization Training Program (IPSTP) is a provider of after-school skills training programs to individuals with autism. Located in San Jose, Calif., the training is also open for youngsters or young adults with any kind of disability. The main goal of the program remains to give disabled individuals an opportunity to interact with non-handicapped peers for the purpose of modeling and learning age-appropriate skills and behavior. Independent Peer Socialization Training Program (IPSTP) has association with the California State Department of Developmental Services, Cannon Soccer and San Jose Earthquakes.
