The Huntington Beach Wetlands Conservancy, established in 1985, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to acquiring, restoring, and safeguarding the coastal wetlands of southeast Huntington Beach. With a focus on preserving local wildlife habitats, the organization invites community participation in their conservation efforts.
Having successfully acquired and restored three out of four marshes, the HBWC is actively engaged in the restoration of Newland Marsh in collaboration with partners. Visitors can explore the Interpretive Center to learn about the history of the organization and the diverse wildlife that inhabits the marshes, while also supporting conservation efforts through donations and volunteer opportunities.
