Around for more than 50 years, Hilda's has retained its old-fashioned charm. The coffee shop doesn't offer anything fancy, just plain old American-style breakfast and sandwiches. There are no reservations (a shame when lines stretch outside the door) and payment must be in cash or check. The restaurant, though, draws a crowd for its breakfast specials, which changed regularly, and famous pancakes. With just 10 tables and seating for 10 at the counter, the small shop can get crowded on weekends, but remains a staple in town. George Lucas has even been known to dine here.
