Henry's can trace its roots back to 1943, when a family-owned business started selling truckloads of locally grown peaches in San Diego. The marketplace still operates with an old-fashioned style, reminiscent of neighborhood produce stands and butcher shops of the 1940s and 50s. Today, Henry's Marketplace is a full-service grocery store featuring the "highest quality products at the best prices," including bulk bins filled with grains, rice, pasta, and treats; locally grown fruits and vegetables in a larger-than-average produce department; a full-service deli; ocean-fresh fish and seafood in the city; natural beef, pork, lamb and poultry; and a large selection of natural and organic vitamins and body care.
