Our original business model was for-profit, selling air plant, succulents and heirloom starts. The latter required a greenhouse in Heirloom Bay, which Heirloom Bay rented for 6 month and forfeited at the end of September. Since that time, Heirloom Bay has transitioned to terrariums and driftwood planters, while launching a nonprofit program, giving away everything else Heirloom Bay used to sell for free.
In addition to its complimentary seed bank, Heirloom Bay's terrariums and tillandsia-infused driftwood planters can be found at Avenues Dry Goods daily (4120 Irving Street).
