H.B.I.C., also known as Help for Brain Injured Children, is a nonprofit organization has been operational since 1967 and serves children and young adults with neurological impairment. It has established a private special education school, known as The Cleta Harder Developmental School, which serves more than 30 children in day school. H.B.I.C. also serves over 25 children in kindergarten through grade five in an after-school program, Kids Unlimited, which focuses on the academic enhancement and motor skills development. The organization organizes several events, such as community shopping days, golf tournaments and auctions. Help for Brain Injured Children is a member of the American Academy of Human Development and is located in La Habra, Calif.
