New Life Calvary Chapel, now known as New Life Full Gospel, was founded in 1982 by Pastor Thel Bringas in Los Angeles. The church experienced a significant transformation when a local gang chose to disband and follow Christ, leading to its establishment as a Foursquare church in Mar Vista. Over the years, the church has witnessed the power of the Holy Spirit, particularly among the youth and children, resulting in transformed lives.
In 1994, New Life returned to its Foursquare roots and Pastor Thel started Lifestream Worship Center in Cerritos. Lifestream later moved to Norwalk, where it thrived as a passionate congregation dedicated to worship and the arts. In 2005, Lifestream Southbay merged with Gateway Fellowship to become New Life Center, and in 2012, New Life Center and Lifestream Worship Center Norwalk merged to form one church in two locations, reclaiming the name New Life with Pastor Ken Bringas as the senior pastor.
