History
The Pomona Valley Habitat for Humanity Restore opened its doors in December 2009 under the direction of affiliate staff, the board of directors, and an Americorp member. The Original ReStore was conceived by Diane Beaver MacKie in 1992. The Austin Habitat for Humanity ReStore has become a model for new and gently used building materials outlet stores across the nation. Today, some 750 Habitat ReStores are raising funds to support their affiliate missions of housing people in need. While the history of our ReStore is still freshly written, ReStores nationwide have proven to be a vital player for their affiliate and their surrounding communities. We look forward to continuing to write our history and encourage our shoppers to join us by shopping, donating, and volunteering with the store. Shop for a Cause!
