The California Gray Bears was founded in 1973 and its "we turn trash into cash" motto is still proving to be viable. The nonprofit organization operates a thrift store that accepts donations and also runs a recycling center. Anyone 55 years old and older can join the Gray Bears. Volunteers of any age are always welcome.
