The Hermosa Beach Green Task Force has nine Hermosa Beach residents and one school district representative. The goal of this ad hoc task force is to propose a "Climate Action Plan", within 18 months to the Hermosa Beach City Council.
According to the group's Web site, its mission is to advise the City Council on the following: "waste reduction, re-use and recycling; sustainable private and public transportation; water use reduction and storm water management; green building including energy and related matters."
