History
The mission of Grandma's House of Hope is to provide compassionate and uplifting transitional care for women in crisis and hungry children in Orange County. This mission has led Grandma's House to their organization's vision: to be the Orange County safety net program for uniquely challenged and underserved women and children through love, hope, and healing. From our humble beginnings as a small emergency shelter, we have evolved to a campus-model Housing Program offering Transitional Housing, Emergency Shelter Services and Rapid Re-Housing. We currently serve over 100 women each year through these housing programs, providing supportive services with a goal of self-sufficiency and permanent, sustainable housing. We also feed nearly 500 hungry children through our Nana's Kidz program. These children, who rely almost solely on the free lunch programs at their schools, are fed through our program on weekends and during the summer, when they would otherwise go hungry.
