Dr. Gradman worked at Mills-Peninsula Hospital in the neurological rehabilitation unit (mostly stroke victims) on a multi-disciplinary team from 1991-1998 and started a part-time practice down the street combining neuropsychology and cognitive-behavioral therapy. When this became full-time, Dr. Gradman left the hospital, although he remains actively affiliated, volunteering in the Psychiatry Department on the Utlization Review committee working with psychiatrists and other Department members.

Dr. Gradman specializes in Neuro-CBT, an evidence-based approach combining neuroscience & cognitive-behavioral therapy. You will learn to 1) cultivate brain circuitry to collaborate better & think & act constructively toward your goals and 2) tune down circuitry that keeps us negative, over-reactive & coping with avoidance, acting out or over-controlling. You will learn how to analyze automatic thinking processes to build helpful, healthy thinking patterns. You will learn new behavioral strategies to approach what you have been avoiding and keep yourself calm. You will learn communication skills to handle difficult interpersonal situations & build family cohesion. Dr. Gradman has a UCLA PhD, 2 post-PhD years at Stanford & is board certified in Cognitive Therapy. 30 years experience with individuals, couples, anxiety, depression, stress, interpersonal issues, ADHD, memory issues & neuropsychological testing.
