Based in Glendora, Calif., Glendora School District enrolls more than 8,000 students in grades kindergarten through 12. It includes six elementary schools, two middle schools and two high schools. Its curriculum includes reading and writing, speech, life skills, math recovery, arts and foreign language. It also includes art, music, computers and physical education classes. Its staff consists of more than 300 certified teachers, adult education teachers, nurses, speech therapists, librarian, counselors, programs specialists, psychologists and administrators. The district provides special emphasis on health education that begins in kindergarten and continues all through high school.
