A tightly run establishment for Girl Scouts. This crew knows their stuff! Need a troop for your duaghter in the low desert? Call them 760.772.5623 I'd give them 5 stars if they had more goodies...

Serving children in the eastern portion of the Coachella Valley since 1966, the Boys & Girls Club of Coachella Valley offers a positive environment for kids. The organization operates clubhouses throughout the area, including spots in Desert Hot Springs, Indio, Mecca, Coachella and La Quinta. Each clubhouse has a gym, community center, arts and crafts room, technology center, education center and outdoor playroom. The Indio Club features an additional 4,400 square foot boxing and athletic center, and the Coachella Club boasts a teen center. More than 3,600 kids between the ages of 8 - 17 are part of the program, with dues ranging from $3 - $22 per month. A full-time staff of 23, part-time staff of 21, and more than 42 volunteers help the organization run like clockwork.

The Boys & Girls Club of Palm Springs, established in 1948, is a nonprofit organization offering supervised after-school winter and summer programs for children and disadvantaged youth. The club, based in Palm Springs, Calif., is affiliated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America that offers five-core program areas including arts, sports and fitness, social skills, character development and leadership development and education and career development. A range of sporting activities are offered at the club, such as basketball, flag football, floor hockey, volleyball, whiffelball, mini-soccer, water polo, water volleyball and kickboard races. It also provides a variety of programs and activities that include Stergios learning center, computer lab, tutoring, games and recreation, specialty programs, cooking, first-aid, Yoga, overnight camps and keystone and torch clubs.
