History
This park has more than 150 years of history woven into the soil. The land was a ranch which was passed down from generation to generation, the last land owners being the Gibson Family. When the last of the Gibson family passed away the ranch was sold to the County of Sacramento and turned into a park. During the economic down turn of the late 2000s the county ran into financial troubles and closed the park. In 2011 the park was reopened under private management.
