History
The owner and founder of GFX Elite Training is Hector Perales. He has over 20 years of experience in Karate and is a 3rd Degree Black belt with Nippon Kempo Karate Do Kyokai and ISKA ( International SanTen Karate Association). Nippon Kempo Karate originally began in the early 1970s in Puerto Rico thanks to Master Luis Gonzales. Current director of Nippon Kempo Karate is Shihan Emilio Perales. Master Marcelino Navedo promised his teacher, Master Luis Gonzales, on his death bed that he will open up the 1st Nippon Kempo Karate in the US, specifically is California. In 1991, with help of his wife and son Luis Perales he fulfilled hi promise to his teacher months before his passing. His grandson, Hector Perales was his 1st pupil. Master Marcelino unfortunately was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2009 and passed away in 2012 after almost 3 years of battling the illness. Shihan Luis Perales became the director of Nippon Kempo karate Sacramento.
Specialties
We teach Nippon Kempo Karate which is a combination of Kempo Karate and Shotokan Karate. We also teach self defense classes to ages 5 and up. We split the class into two. Ages 5-14 are on Tuesdays and Thursdays 5pm-6:15pm. Ages 15 and up are on Tuesdays and Thursdays 8pm-9:30pm. We focus on teaching every student in their own pace. We understand the importance of having patience with our students so that they don't only learn in the own pace but thrive in our style.
