KaiYen Mai, CEO and Founder of Fusion Jerky, has been apart of her family business who has dominated the jerky industry for over 50 years. While her family business has been very successful in the Asian Markets, KaiYen wanted to create and introduce a healthy, all-natural artisanal jerky to the American Market. She wanted to fuse her family traditions with modern food culture to create a better-for-you protein snack. The idea of Fusion Jerky was born while hiking Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2006. KaiYen knew protein was essential for the 6-day grueling hike she was about to embark on but she was stuck with subpar protein bars and a shortage of her family jerky. She wished she had a protein snack that not only tasted good but was also good for you. It was until then that KaiYen realized she needed to create a jerky line that no body had made before. Fusion Jerky offically launched in August 2014.

Fusion Jerky is an artisanal jerky fusing the tenderness of Asian-style jerky with innovative and bold flavors. We are the first jerky line to feature all-natural chicken as well as beef, turkey and pork with a total of eight flavors. Made using only US raised animals, Fusion Jerky is gluten free, low fat, low in sodium, high in protein, preservative-free, MSG-free and nitrate-free. Produced in small batches, Fusion Jerky is made in our own state-of-the-art USDA facility in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
