Customers gather around the juke box to debate the playlist, but the majority of the restaurant is occupied by high wooden tables with stools. The grill is open to children for lunch and dinner (11:30am to 9pm), but after that it's twenty-one and over.

The Dock Store

Founded to showcase Sudwerk Brewery's signature microbrewed beers, The Dock Store is named for the loading dock to the rear of Sudwerk Restaurant (a separate business), upon which local bands play. "What we're looking to book right now, on a kind of casual basis," said The Dock Store proprietor Trent Yackzan, "is bands that play good music to drink to." So far, that has translated into classic rock and bluegrass. But Yackzan says he and his booking agent are looking further afield, hoping to attract musicians playing good-time tunes in other genres. Beverages on tap will vary seasonally and, Yackzan says, "include some experimental brews, such as our current featured offering, Mai Bock, which combines sweet creamy malt with tangy hops."
