History
Generations Healthcare began operations in January of 1998 with a single 89-bed skilled nursing facility. Since that time Generations has grown to 18 facilities comprising 1,900 beds. Of those 1,900 beds just over 500 are located throughout San Diego County. Nearly 900 beds are located in the Northern California Bay Area, and the balance are located in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. When Generations began business, it started with a very simple business strategy: focus on quality and service while remaining mindful of the challenges and changes facing older adults in today's world. Over the years, Generations has established an excellent reputation in the communities served by our facilities. Generations has built this reputation through a concerted focus on quality and service.
Specialties
Friendship Manor is a 104-bed skilled nursing facility, focusing primarily on post hospitalization transitional care. Our greatest success is the ability to help patients recover and discharge back to home or to a lower level of care. We employ our own therapists and operate a large, fully contained therapy unit. Together, with our nursing staff, our goal is to help patients achieve their highest level of functional independence. We are licensed by both the California State Department of Health and the Federal Government. As such, our staff provides 24 hour-a-day nursing care and supervision to our patients. These services include: assistance with activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, grooming, transfers, ambulation, etc.), feeding or assistance with meals, giving of medications, treatments, etc. The level of services provided to an individual patient can vary greatly depending on that patient's needs.
