History
As part of the Vocational Training Program at Step Up on Second, Fresh Start opened it's doors in 1996 as a way to provide supported job training and experience for it's clients, people who suffer from metal illness and/or homelessness. By working in this supported environment, clients can gain valuable knowledge and job experience which will be carried with them to future employment opportunities or can continue to thrive in this supported work environment all while being guided by a Job Coach.
Specialties
We offer the cheapest meals in the area! Try one of our mouth watering burgers or hot pastrami sandwiches or snack on our tater tots or frings (because who can decide between fries or onion rings). We also offer a fresh selection of DK's Donuts and pastries made by The Twisted Churro. We offer gourmet Ridgeline coffee and we make our own strong coldbrew. In addition, we offer a wide selection of prepackaged snacks, chips, candy, and drinks. We are vegan and vegetarian friendly and offer the Impossible Burger with vegan cheese at a substantially better price then our surrounding neighbors. Not only can you try something delicious, you are also supporting the non-profit Step Up on Second who works with the homeless with mental illness.
