Foundation for National, located in San Francisco, is a public-interest media organization. It produces revelatory journalism to inform and inspire the individuals of the nation. It launched Mother Jones magazine in 1976 to provide diverse national audience with investigative journalism, and thoughtful and progressive analysis of critical issues related to environment and social justice. The organization also launched MotherJones.com in 1993 to provide general interest magazine to the people on the Internet. It serves more than 1 million people through its free newsletters, journals, articles and stories. The organization also provides editorial internship program for journalism students that include editors fact checking, reporting and writing original reported stories. Foundation for National receives funds through government grants and donations received from its supporters.
