The First Baptist Church of Monrovia-Arcadia, the first protestant church ever established in Monrovia, has been located on the corner of Palm and Encinitas Avenues since 1912. The church traces its roots back to 1881 when it originated in Duarte.
The current church building contains eight leaded-glass windows on the north and south side of the building which were originally inside the Duarte church structure.
The church is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches USA and Reverend Richard J. Sullender leads the congregation. Sunday services begin at 10:55 a.m.
