Dr. James C. Wu received his bachelor degree from Northwestern University and his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Wu then completed his residency training in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, and Facial Plastic Surgery at the University Medical Center of New York, at Stony Brook. Dr. Wu was appointed as the chief resident during the final year of his residency training. After completion of his residency, he pursued a competitive post-graduate fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, craniofacial and skull base surgery at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center, which is affiliated with Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. While practicing cosmetic surgery in New York City, Dr. Wu held the position of clinical professor at the prestigious Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. Dr. Wu also completed training in tumescent body liposculpting under the tutelage of Dr. Jeffery Klein, the inventor of liposuction under local anesthesia. Dr. Wu performs annually humanitarian work in Ecuador and Dominican Republic, treating patients who suffer from facial deformities. Dr. Wu also educating local doctors on new techniques in the field of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
