Dr. Farshid Dayyani is a board-certified UCI Health medical oncologist who specializes in the treatment of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary malignancies. His clinical interests include colorectal, esophageal, liver, pancreatic and stomach cancers, as well as anal carcinoma. Dayyani earned his medical degree at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in Germany, where he also received a PhD in immunology. Next, he completed a research fellowship in cancer biology at Harvard University in Boston, Mass, followed by a residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. He also completed a fellowship in medical oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. His research focus is on gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary malignancies. His goal is to bring leading-edge treatments to patients with gastrointestinal cancers through innovative clinical trials and translational research. He is the author or co-author of more than 40 research papers published in leading medical journals. Dayyani — who also speaks German and Farsi.
