The Fairfax Community Church prides itself on being progressive and welcoming. The church opens its doors to all people without discrimination and tries to be a part of the Fairfax community. Since 1919, the church has been a combination community center, church, Masonic center and, briefly, a town hall.
The church hosts a number of events and classes for congregants. It also encourages people to volunteer in the community. The church is associated with the United Church of Christ and is Protestant.
