History
In the 1990's, after a long search for the perfect cool-climate site on which to grow the classic French styles (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah), the Gainey family (owners of Gainey Vineyard) purchased a 125-acre parcel in the Santa Rita Hills. This vineyard is just 10-miles from the Pacific Ocean and was named Evans Ranch after after Dan Gainey's great-grandfather Evan. In 2006, the Gainey family introduced the Evans Ranch wines as a collection of six high-end luxury wines with limited production. The Evans Ranch wines are so exclusive, they are only available in our tasting room in downtown Los Olivos or online. We invite you to stop by and give them a try in our famous copper-stemmed glasses.
