Episcopal Community Services, also known as ECS, is a social advocacy organization that provides a range of health and human services in San Diego and Riverside counties in California. It offers social services to low-income families and individuals. The organization deals in the areas of chronic homelessness, mental health, domestic violence and emergency groceries. Episcopal Community Services provides substance abuse education and child and family services. It offers the Head Start, Friend to Friend and Safe Haven Transitional Housing programs. The organization also provides the Julian s Program for women and children, which serves homeless women over the age of 18 and their children. Founded in 1927, Episcopal Community Services additionally offers emergency assistance programs.
