History
A group of educators, parents, and members of the fitness community joined forces to create Empower Charter School, which opened in the Fall 2014 school year. Our innovative public charter school prepares children for the industries of the future by creating critical thinkers (inquiry-based instruction), effective communicators (writing-centered and collaborative learning) and global leaders (Spanish Immersion program). Empower Charter School also offers a highly-effective fitness program. Research shows a direct correlation between exercise and learning. We believe that we learn and perform at our best when our bodies and minds are fit and healthy. This school is centrally located in Linda Vista and accessible to families throughout San Diego county
