Philip Davis founded Emergency Ambulance Service in 1977. The company remains family owned and operated and has approximately 150 employees. The company started service with two ambulances. Its nearly 11,000-square-foot facility includes a communications center, training facility, medical supply depot, crew quarters, billing department and administrative offices. The company operates a fleet of modern type II and type III ambulances. Each of the ambulance units are individually designed and equipped in accordance with the company's specifications to meet the needs of the communities they serve. Many units have special features required for the provision of 911 services, such as advanced life support cabinetry and outside storage compartments, while other ambulances are equipped with special features, such as hydraulic lifts and compressed medical air required for inter-facility transports. EAS provides emergency basic life support and nurse-staffed critical care transportation. Emergency Ambulance Service is headquartered in Brea, Calif.
