Elsinore Valley Cemetary, though listed as being located on Collier Street in Lake Elsinore, is actually accessed off Riverside Drive. It has a lovely setting and is situated right at the end of the cul-de-sac, lending a quiet serene quality to the place even before guests head up the main drive.
The actual cemetery is over a century old, though it was not formally purchased and given the current name until the 1920s. There is a special section set aside for veterans, and the Home of Peace, a Jewish Cemetery, is adjacent to the main cemetery on the north side.
Records are available only for existing headstones, those seeking more detailed information are invited to contact the cemetery or the Lake Elsinore Genealogical Society. Those looking to plan a funeral can call ahead and the staff while help you out with all of the planning details.
The cemetery is open for visitors 365 days per year, though the main office is only open weekdays and is closed holidays.
