History
Master Johnie Livingston, the school's head instructor, has been studying martial arts since the young age of 7. He has earned Black Belts in several different disciplines, Taekwondo, Shotokan Karate, and Judo. Each of these styles are incorporated in Elite Performance's curriculum. Ms. Chris Ikemoto, Mr Livingston's partner and assistant, began her martial arts training under the tutelage of 1988 US Olympian, Master Jay Warwick ,and she continues to further her training under Master Livingston. She has achieved coach certification by both the USAT and the AAU. Ms. Ikemoto is also an AAU certified referee.

Elite Performance Taekwondo's instructors have been teaching martial arts in the Sacramento area since 2002. Specializing in the Korean art of Taekwondo. We excel in combining both life skills and Taekwondo skills in a fun, exciting and positive learning environment. Our mission is ambitious: We want to change the lives of our students in a positive and meaningful way. Yes, we want to teach them Taekwondo. Yes we want to teach them how to effectively defend themselves. And we want our students to improve their physical fitness. But most importantly, we want to instill into each and every one of our students the values of the five tenets of Taekwondo: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Spirit. We want to impress upon them the importance of a good education and of balancing mind, body, and spirit. We want to demonstrate to them the benefits of achievement , effort and enthusiasm.
